Following recent changes to departmental responsibilities, the functions of the former Department of Treaty, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Partnerships, Communities and the Arts are transitioning to new departments. Work is underway to update departments’ websites.

Business and economic development

  • Indigenous projects under the Building and Construction Training Policy

    The Building and Construction Training Policy promotes, encourages and creates skills development, employment and business opportunities for Aboriginal people and Torres Strait Islanders in relation to Queensland Government building and civil construction projects.

  • Enterprise development

    We provide a range of services to help strengthen and grow Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander businesses in Queensland.

  • First Nations Economic Strategy

    We provide a range of services to help strengthen and grow Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander businesses in Queensland.

  • Queensland Indigenous Procurement Policy

    The Queensland Indigenous Procurement Policy provides a whole-of-government framework to increase procurement with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander businesses.

  • Youth Employment Program

    The Youth Employment Program is a program for year 12 students to help them into employment or further study upon completion of high school.
