Meet Zakariah & Mariam: the siblings bringing culturally informed disability services to Townsville
Before arriving in Australia, Zakariah and his sister Mariam lived in a refugee camp in Kenya for 25 years after fleeing war-torn Somalia. Today, Zakariah and his family are proud to bring a culturally informed lens to their work at TenderCare in Townsville, particularly, their unique perspective of what it means to be a refugee.
